A century of humanity on Long Island.
Since 1917, the American Red Cross Huntington Chapter has stood at the forefront of humanitarian service in Suffolk County. What began as a small volunteer effort has grown into one of the most active chapters on Long Island — responding to thousands of disasters, collecting tens of thousands of blood donations, and training thousands of community members in life-saving skills each year.
Our chapter operates from 90 High Street in the heart of Huntington, serving as both a blood collection center and a community hub where neighbors come together to make a difference. Whether it's a home fire, a hurricane, or a simple desire to give back, we're here — ready to act.
We are part of the largest humanitarian organization in the United States, guided by the seven Fundamental Principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality. These principles aren't just words — they're the foundation of every action we take in this community.
Your community needs you.
Whether you want to donate blood, volunteer your time, or take a first aid course — there's a place for you at the American Red Cross Huntington Chapter.
